Inih, I Love You
I love you.
Inin, O Inih
I love you.
Inih
I have been waiting for so long
To sing you this love song
You are my princess and my queen
With more beauty within than can be seen.
You are beautiful to behold
You are more precious than gold.
I have been searching for true love
And I thank God I have found you
You are my dream come true.
Inih
O Inih
I love you.
Inih
O Inih
I love you
Inih
O Inih
I love you.
N.B:
Celebrate the love of life and the gift of Love that the Almighty God has given you to share.
These are the original lyrics of my original love song for my sweetest.
I sang the first verse to her when I called her Sunday night.
The Celebration olf Life
I had a beautiful and wonderful time at the Thanksgiving fellowship in church today.
Our guests, visitors and members of the Assemblies of God Church in Finima celebrated and jubilated in praise of the Almighty God Jehovah to thank Him for saving the precious life of my younger sister, Mrs. Stella Unah. I was moved to join her and her husband in front of the church to thank the ministers of God and the entire congregation for fasting and praying for her healing and speedy recovery. Then I sang the introit of my song Your Majesty in my mother-tongue, Igbo. It was awesome in the solemn worship of the Almighty God Jehovah and the Holy Spirit filled the body of Christ. Reverend Odey from the Assemblies of God Church in Ibadan told us how he had to abide in the divine presence of God in the state of nature and God answered his prayer by saving the life of my sister. He said our celebration has begun and we all rejoiced in appreciation of the goodness and mercy and loving kindness of God.
Our life should be the daily celebration of the infinite grace of God in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Actress, Author Mariel Hemingway & Travelers Advantage Say: Travel Smart, Save Money
NORWALK, Conn., June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Most people are tightening their belt on spending this year. But that doesn't have to mean cutting out travel. With planning and creativity, you can still find great travel deals and have a wonderful vacation.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20071212/NYWFNS2 )
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070717/NYTUFNS1LOGO-b )

"If you travel to mountain resorts in the summer -- places such as Aspen, Jackson Hole or Sun Valley -- you get more for your money because there is so much to do," says actress and author Mariel Hemingway. "The outdoor activities are either free or much less expensive than what you'd spend at a tropical resort."
Despite spiraling gas prices and the flagging economy, people will continue to travel this summer. In fact, according to a recent survey conducted by the Travel Industry Association, six of 10 Americans will not change their travel plans even with additional increases in gas prices. Also, one of six receiving a tax rebate from Congress will use that money to pay for travel and vacations.
"Everybody wants a break from the bad news economy and the pump pressure, and a vacation, quite literally, is a way to get away from it all," said Leslie Downey, director of communication for Travelers Advantage and TravelersAdvantage.com. "As we sail into the summer vacation season, there are great travel and savings deals for even the most cost-conscious vacationer."
Here are some other money-saving tips from the experts at Travelers Advantage:
-- Get the most for your money when you drive. You can make fill-ups go farther and cars last longer by maintaining proper tire inflation, performing routine maintenance on a regular basis, avoiding driving during the hottest part of the day and using a dashboard window sun cover.
-- Plan a biking or camping vacation. This is a great way to save money and keep fit, all at the same time. Did you know most people who visit state parks say they were very satisfied with the excursion? And camping is still the number one outdoor vacation activity.
-- If you're flying, buy your ticket between midnight and 1 a.m., just after airline agents have loaded new fares into their computers. Remember, the cheapest flights tend to be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And if you're willing to fly late at night or early in the morning, you may get lower fares.
-- If you go on a cruise, don't visit the onboard shops until right before the trip ends -- that's when they often discount the items on sale. You can also skip paying for shore excursions, and simply visit the port city on your own or by bus.
For additional savings on summer travel, the experts at Travelers Advantage offer these great vacation deals:
Soak up a Virgin Islands Sizzlin' Summer Sampler, and experience endless stretches of powder perfect beach edged by azure water, lush tropics and more. Enjoy exotic 5-night vacations to St. Croix, St. John or St. Thomas. You can book through July 31 for travel through Aug. 15. All resorts include a $50 Visa gift card, attraction coupons and resort credits ranging from $50 to $100.*
Cruise into some great last-minute deals to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico during the month of June. Three-night Bahamas cruises aboard the Carnival Fascination, departing from Miami, Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas, departing from Miami, or Disney Wonder, departing from Port Canaveral, Fla., are available from $289 to $639. Seven-night Caribbean cruises aboard the Carnival Valor, Carnival Destiny and Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas, all departing from Miami, range in price from $559 to $1,099. Mexico cruises -- from four to seven nights aboard the Carnival Paradise, Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas or Disney Magic, all departing from Los Angeles -- range in price from $379 to $1,505.**

Beware of the Seven Laws of Harvest: The Consequences of Your Actions
1. We Reap Only What Has Been Sown
2. We Reap the Same In Kind As We Sow
3. We Reap in a Different Season than We Sow
4. We Reap More Than We Sow
5. We Reap In Proportion to What We Sow
6. We Reap the Full Harvest Of the Good Only if We Persevere
7. We Can't do Anything About Last Year's Harvest, But We Can About This Year's
Sow a thought, reap an act;
Sow an act, reap a habit;
Sow a habit, reap a character;
Sow a character, reap a destiny.
You can read The Seven Laws of the Harvest for more details.
I can still remember my grandmother warning me about my choices in life. In her attempt to see that her grandson would behave himself, she used to say, “Don’t forget, Hampton, you always reap what you sow … always.” And of course, she was right. But when most of us think of the concept of reaping what we sow, I have found we usually think of this in the negative sense. We think of paying the consequences for sinful actions or foolish choices, but the laws of the harvest are not just negative. These laws are also positive, very positive, and stand as a promise of blessing for sowing that which is good as well as a warning against sowing what is bad. We see this in Galatians 6:7-8.
~ J. Hampton Keathley, III , Th.M. (Bio)
Hampton Keathley, III, is right. Let me address it in details, because the ignorance of these laws is destroying people daily.
It is the devil that will lie to you that ignorance is bliss.
The truth is ignorance is not bliss, because ignorance kills.
The truth may be bitter or sour, but the truth heals.
The ignorance of the truth on the facts of the Weapons of Mass Destruction misled the U.S. Government into the catastrophic war in Iraq. See the records of the bloody consequences on Heroes of the War On Terror.
Ignorance begets disobedience and disobedience begets violence and violence begets death.
Ignorance leads people to disobedience and their disobedience provokes the wrath of the earth and the wrath of the earth causes violence and violence has led to the death of countless people since Adam and Eve to date.
Ignorance of the Law of Harvest is the cause of the horrors and the terrors of life and the tragedies of the crimes, evils and sins plaguing humans and have left millions of people dead, millions still dying and millions still suffering the consequences of their own actions and the actions of others.
There is always a reaction to every action, but it might not be visible as you would see or think.
You have to beware of the grave consequences of your negative actions, because of the repercussions.
If you say or do negative things, you will surely get negative things in return eventually.
If you say or do positive things, you will surely get positive things in return eventually.
Someone insulted me in a reply to one of my posts online, and my reply was to quote from the Law of Harvest for his own good.
That if you reply with an insult, insult will plague you all your life.
It was a warning to him to stop insulting people, especially strangers you do not know or have never met in person.
Insulting or swearing at others has brought visible and invisible curses in return.
The Law of Harvest is worse for those who repay good with evil.
For example, you have the best wishes for someone and you are doing good and the best for the progress and succcess of that person, but the same person goes behind you to backbite, backstab and plot to do you harm or evil and in fact commits sin or evil against you. Then instead of repenting and asking for mercy and forgiveness, the wrong doer or evil doer is adamant and unrepentant. He or she would receive the grave consequences of the grievous actions.
If God will judge every idle word
How much more would His wrath be against every evil deed.
~ Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima
The more I feel sorry for many humans I know are now facing and suffering the negative consequences of their actions and the actions of their parents and ancestors, the more I pray and wish that they would listen and learn and repent, and be saved, but in most cases these humans have failed to listen and learn from the horrible and terrible mistakes of others.
As they are repeating these negative mistakes of others, the negative consequences are repeated again and again.
Nigeria is one of the richest countries in human and mineral resources on earth, but Nigeria is among the poorest nations in the world, because of the daily violations of the Seven Laws of Harvest by ignorant and disobedient Nigerians.
The simple solution is for everyone on earth to learn and apply the Seven Laws of Harvest in everything we say and everything we do, and we shall be delivered, redeemed and saved from the ignorance and disobedience of the Seven Laws of Harvest.
May God help you and I to repent and do good to ourselves and unto others.

Loving Your Enemies
1. Loving Your Enemies
"But I [Jesus] say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."1
Bob Lewis relates the story of a Christian woman "who owned two prize-winning chickens. One afternoon, the chickens worked their way out of her yard and into her neighbor's garden. The neighbor, known for his hot temper, captured both birds, wrung their necks and then threw their lifeless carcasses across the fence into the Christian's yard.
"The woman was understandably hurt and considered giving her neighbor a piece of her mind. Instead, she took the chickens home and prepared two chicken pot pies. Whereupon she took one to her neighbor and then apologized for not being more watchful of her chickens. The man was speechless. The chicken pot pie coupled with an apology filled him with such a sense of burning shame that his whole life began to change."
Need I say more?
Suggested prayer: "Dear God, I find it real easy to love those who are lovable but don't know how to love my enemies and those who would mistreat me. Please help me to grow in love so that I will always be 'as Christ' to everyone—friend or foe. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name, amen."

The Translator Arrived Today
Random House sent me the hardcover copy of Daoud Hari's bestselling memoir on the Darfur Crisis The Translator and I loved the quality of the printing from cover to cover and I am reading it like I am making love to my sweetheart.
I love what Daoud Hari wrote in honor of the girls and women of Darfur.
I write this also for the women and girls of Darfur.
You have seen their faces wrapped in beautiful colors, and you know something of their suffering, but they are not who you think. Though they have been victimized, they are heroes more than victims. My aunt Joyar, for example, was a famous warrior who dressed like a man, fought camel thieves and Arab armies, wrestled men for sport--and always won. She refused to marry until she was in her forties.
I dedicate this to her and to the girls of my village who were faster and stronger than the boys at our rough childhood games. I dedicate this to my mother, who as a young woman kept a circle of attacking lions away from
our cattle and sheep in the bush for a long day, a long night and all the next morning, using only the power of her voice and the banging of two sticks. The power of her voice is something I know very well.
The beautiful prose of the author makes his memoir very exciting and thrilling to read, even though his memories are also true life chronicles of the atrocities of the ruthless Sudanese military and the heartless Janjaweed, the perpetrators of the horrors of the genocide in his homeland.
If you really care about the plight of the refugees who are still suffering and dying in Darfur, you should read this book.

Six Degrees of Paris Hilton: The Global Reach of One Vagina
"Pick any random person, and if you dig hard enough you'll find
that they had sex with somebody, who had sex with somebody, who had sex with
Paris."
It is a long sex chain with even links to Osama bin Laden. The sex chain could have linked to Nigeria if the writer continued to follow it.
It is a must read for anyone who has not read it.
Some women can really spread their legs far and wide.
Do you know the sex chain of your girlfriend or wife?
That is actually how STDs and the deadly AIDS have been spread from one vagina to another.
May God save us all before it is too late.
Kim de la Crème
I find Kim Kardashian more beautiful and attractive without make up.
God created Kim Kardashian beautiful and wonderful, but she has found herself among the dumbest sex symbols in Hollywood, because the desperation for fame and fortune pushed her into wrong hands. The wrong hands of the African-American rapper Ray J who even taped himself pissing on Kim Kardashian! The same 27 years old Ray J boasted to spite Bobby Brown in a song that it was cool to have sex with the 44 years old Whitney Houston, but it was better pulling her hair whilst having sex with her! Whitney had to scream "Shut Up about us!" to save her career from further damage in view of the launch of her new album in November 2008.
Pop Crunch has a detailed biography of Kim Kardashian who is doing her best to focus on her modeling career and forthcoming film. Here is the audio of Kim telling Ray J that she has had enough of sexual abuse.
Kim posing for her new modeling contract.
How would a man feel if his sister is being taken for a ride by shameless and ruthless boys or men who take turns on her?
How would a man having sex with the wife of another man feel if he found his own wife having sex with another man?
Why should a grown up girl or woman be so dumb to sell herself for sex?
Of course, millions of girls and women all over the world prefer to fool themselves in self-denial and say that they are not prostitutes or call-girls, but once you are going out with a man or a woman, because of what you would gain in cash or kind, you are also engaged in prostitution, no matter how much you are posing and posturing as a "girlfriend" or "mistress".
Dating one man, because of the financial and other material benefits is bad, but dating several men for the same selfish want of money and social status symbols is worse and that makes you a prostitute.
Let us call a spade a spade, so that she would realize the wrong she has done and repent than flattering her and overlooking her wayward life style.

Internet Clones
I cancelled my account on MySpace, because many members were using it to stalk me. I have refused all the invitations to join Facebook, because I do not need it and most people on it are just copycats.
Most of the sites showing my pen name or real name got them by default.
Most of them use the same online trap asking you to sign up first before you can comment on what you have seen or read on their websites. Once you oblige, they add your username or real name to their membership list and use you to increase the popularity of their sites and for salesmanship or "saleswomanship".
I recently deleted all my contacts on an e-mail account and very soon I am going to delete all the other contacts and cancel more accounts, because I want to get rid of all the clones.
There are more Internet Clones than humans or as I prefer to call them Homo sapiens. These clones are like fringe elements out of Duke Nukem 3D.
I have left a couple of popular forums, because of these Internet Clones.
Honesty is a scarce commodity online and these Internet Clones are as bad as the notorious Nigerian Yahoo-Yahooo Internet scammers who use different aliases to con unsuspecting targets online. I see them as devils perpetrating evils online.
These creatures do not even have the fear of God, because they swear and lie shamelessly in their desperate schemes, scams and whims.
A member of a forum creates many clones under different aliases or IDs and is using them for posing and posturing as real persons. He or she is appearing as AJ Naija on a post and then reappears as Naija Ninja on another post posing and posturing as a different person. What a scam!
I cannot converse with such Internet Clones or Internet Zombies, because I have zero tolerance for liars, cheats and scammers. In fact, the rest of humankind would be better and safer without these scum of the earth.
I cannot tolerate people without scruples.
It is good to be yourself and be honest and transparent.
One alias or moniker should be enough when you are on an online forum or social network and not creating Internet Clones to scam other humans online.
Human dignity and integrity should guide your life online and offline.
Do some critical thinking, because ratiocination helps.
Have a nice day!

Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter Christine Evans Is Now Shooting Her Debut Film Role, the Female Lead In An Independent Feature, in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, June 16 /PRNewswire/ --
Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Christine Evans is currently shooting an independent feature film under the working title of Black And Blue in Los Angeles, California. Evans has the starring role of Amber in the production, which marks her debut big-screen role as she crosses over to the film world to build an acting career parallel to her life in music.

An early 2009 release is anticipated for the film, which is produced by Tim Swain and directed by Jill Maxcy from a script by Liz Maccie. A gritty coming-of-age story with a strong musical thread guiding its narrative, Black And Blue blends the darkness of Thirteen with the transcendent hopefulness of Once.
The film centers on the story of Evans' character Amber, a teenager from a troubled home in Tucson -- her mother is struggling with drugs and suicide attempts. Amber is sent to Los Angeles to live with her uncle, but finds that atmosphere equally destructive. With nowhere else to turn, she goes out on the streets of downtown L.A., and forges a bond with four other homeless kids living in an abandoned warehouse.
Amber and her friends play music together and busk for change on a city promenade. She discovers an old-school record store near the promenade run by Billy, a veteran blues guitarist now in his sixties. As a result of his own personal turmoil, Billy has been hiding out for decades, but a connection with Amber draws him out. He helps her with her music, becomes a mentor, and steers her and her friends towards a better future in a turn of events that proves redemptive for all.
As a music artist, Christine Evans first emerged during her early teen years from the thriving Vancouver Island scene that's also produced Nelly Furtado and Diana Krall. Don't Let the Credit Crunch Harm Your Relationship - Keep Taking the Weekend Break
LONDON, June 16/PRNewswire/ -- As part of its 'Campaign for the Real Weekend' a nationally representative survey commissioned by purplehotels and carried out by BMRB* has revealed fascinating statistics about 'weekend break ' habits amongst people in the UK.
Sex - or an increase in intimacy- was cited as a critical reason to take a weekend break by 38% of males and females questioned. Of which 44% of the 25/34-year age group strongly agreed a weekend away would improve the intimacy of their relationship with their partner.
Psychologist and "sex expert" Donna Dawson, says: "Work, in particular, appears to be stressing us out, as well as affecting our close relationships. A complete change of scenery appears to be the remedy for 'revving up' our jaded or non-existent sex lives, by injecting novelty, adventure and much-needed privacy into the proceedings."
A 'loved-up' weekend away also has a marked effect on returning home. Some 45% of women and 39% of men claimed it made them 'feel more able to cope with life' but 37% of respondents 'immediately yearned for another break' (For some, once wasn't enough!)
When asked 'How long after your return does the good feeling last?' 41% felt the 'benefits lasted a few days' whilst 20% of men declared ecstatically the 'good feeling lasted for at least a week'. Interestingly, 30% of men mentioned a great breakfast, the morning after, 'could be a deciding factor when choosing a hotel.'
Purplehotels questioned the need to escape from the stress of life to which the great majority of people (74%) revealed they hoped to grab a "chance to relax", 58% felt a break away would enable them "to feel better about work, life and family" whilst over a third (35%) of people wanted to "learn something new about a different part of Britain".
Understandably 76% of people cited 'value for money' as the most important factor when choosing a hotel; this was followed by 'convenience of location (52%) and friendly staff (38%) as the second and third important factors respectively.
35% of people plan to spend between GBP50 and GBP100 on accommodation for a weekend away, while 26% are prepared to spend over GBP100 and up to GBP150. This fits in well with the great value weekend breaks in purplehotels, which start from GBP29 per room. Guests are encouraged to feel as relaxed or raring- to- go as their hearts desire.
Purplehotels have launched a 'Campaign for the Real Weekend' to promote 'weekends not workends'.
Mike Prager, CEO explains: "Who says the weekend should be limited to Saturday and Sunday? At purplehotels we believe that the weekend is any time between Thursday & Monday & we price it that way too. My final tip is try calling in well to work. Most people at some time call in sick. Call in well and say 'I'm having a couple of days off and I feel great'. Then take off and visit this lovely island of ours!"
*The Survey was commissioned by purplehotels and carried out by BMRB via online Omnibus across 1,000 adults aged 16-64.
Purplehotels is a new 'no frills chic' brand of premium budget hotels with 11 hotels in the UK. Visit http://www.purplehotels.co.uk for further information about the Campaign for the Real Weekend.

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."1
One day a man comes home from work to find total mayhem at home. The kids were outside still in their pajamas playing in the mud and muck. There were empty food boxes and wrappers all around. As he proceeded into the house, he found an even bigger mess. Dishes on the counter, dog food spilled on the floor, a broken glass under the table, and a small pile of sand by the back door. The family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing, and a lamp had been knocked over.He headed up the stairs, stepping over toys, to look for his wife. He was becoming worried that she may be ill, or that something had happened to her. He found her in the bedroom, still in bed with her pajamas on, reading a book.
She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"
She again smiled and answered, "You know, everyday when you come home from work and ask me what I did today?"
"Yes," was his reply.
She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it!"
Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please help me regardless of my marital state to love and appreciate my spouse and/or family members as you would have me love and appreciate them and, with your help, always be as Christ to them. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus' name. Amen."

McCain: "The Rights of the Unborn Are As Important as the Rights of the Born."
US Senator John McCain has made what I call a universal declaration for the human rights of the unborn child and to question the abortion of the unborn child.
Pope Benedict XVI would be glad to endorse John McCain for his defence of the right of the unborn child to live! I hope the Vatican and all anti-abortion groups will commend him for speaking in the voice of the conscience.
My Father’s Violin
My Father’s Violin
My father was born on a Sunday and I was born on a Sunday, and so my dear father concluded that we were from the same place. He always wanted me to accompany him whenever he visited his friends or went shopping. He was fond of noting our physical similarities from our fair complexion to our aquiline nose. He was psychic and a metaphysician and said we came from the water.
“God forbid,” I said in my heart.
He said I was an Aquarian, but I did not share his superstitious belief in astrology. I have always been a Christian from childhood, and I thank God for giving me a wonderful mother who brought me up on the Word of God from her copy of the Holy Bible in Igbo, our mother tongue. I loved the man from Galilee, Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. I always loved to play Jesus and even had my own disciples who joined me to sweep and clean the pews of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lafiaji on the Lagos Island. I was going to be a priest until my father refused to let me go to the seminary in Ibadan. Since he did not allow me to become a priest, I decided that I would be a rock star and joined the Daily Mirror Pop & Rock Club. I thought my father would be glad to see me sing, rock and roll since he loved music and played the violin. But he sneered at rock music and would rather serenade to the music of his violin after work.
I did not like the way the violin whined like one of the Sirens.
My father would embrace his violin the way he embraced my mother, holding the neck with his left hand and resting his narrow jaw on the chinrest and the scroll tilted horizontally above his left shoulder, he would put the rosined bow between the bridge and the fingerboard. Then he would pull the bow back and forth the four strings one after the other to make the whining sounds of the different scales of the music. My mother loved to gaze at him as he played and paused to sing his own songs. He had a melodious voice and always looked heavenly whilst playing his violin. He never allowed me and his other children to touch it. I never asked him to teach me, because I preferred to learn how to play the acoustic or electric guitar and join the Bay City Rollers, Adam Ant and the other rockers in the UK.
I was 18 when I got my first recording contract to produce my country rock song Hardway to Broadway, but my father waved the contract aside and did not even ask me about it again. He never wanted me to travel to England or America for my music. The recording date passed and I was disappointed. Since he ignored my own passion for Pop music, I ignored his passion for the violin and classical music. We disagreed over his religious beliefs and in one of his angry moods, he hit me with the bow of his violin and it broke into two pieces. He was heart broken and did not bother to buy a new bow. He left the violin where he always hung it on the wall and never played his violin until he passed away on November 19, 1983. I put the violin away and it was accidentally damaged. It was now a useless musical instrument. A year after my father’s death, I produced Hardway To Broadway. I was still thinking of becoming a young rock star when I left the Roman Catholic Church for the Deeper Christian Life Bible Church and became a street and bus evangelist.
It was in the Deeper Christian Life Bible Church that I saw the importance of the violin, because many members of the choir played violins and made heavenly sound of music to the glory of God. Every time I listened to the solemn music of the violin, the unforgettable memories of my dear father playing his violin would hold me captive in nostalgia. I cannot remember the past without remembering my dear father and I cannot remember my dear father without remembering his violin. I am going to buy a new violin and put it on the mantle piece in memory of my father. I am also going to produce my first classical composition Your Majesty and an old man playing the violin will be included in the musical video to share the memory of my father’s violin with the world.

56-year-old North Dakota Native Wins AARP The Magazine's National Spelling Bee for 'Word Nerds' Age 50+
CHEYENNE, Wyo., June 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --
AARP The Magazine, the definitive voice for 50+ Americans and the world's largest-circulation magazine with more than 34 million readers, today crowned Larry Grossman, age 56, of Northwood, N.D., the winner of AARP The Magazine's National Spelling Bee for people age 50+. Grossman won the championship by correctly spelling DEBOUCH.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070209/NYF043LOGO )
Held earlier today at the Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne, Wyo., 49 competitors ages 51 to 75 from 24 states competed in AARP The Magazine's National Spelling Bee. Grossman walked away with $500 in prizes. Michael Petrina, Jr., from Arlington, Va., finished in second place ahead of Scott Firebaugh from Knoxville, Tenn., who finished third. A complete list of results can be found online along with video footage of the competition at www.aarp.org/spellingbee.
"We're thrilled that so many people from across the country came out for this year's competition and want to congratulate Larry for coming out ahead of the pack," said Steve Slon, editor of AARP The Magazine. "Our Spelling Bee has continued to grow in popularity since it was introduced by AARP members 13 years ago and the cognitive and social benefits of exercising your mind as you age make all of today's participants winners."
In the AARP The Magazine-sponsored bee, the 50+ aged spellers were allowed to miss three words before being knocked out of the competition. The day began with a 100-word written competition, narrowing the field to the top 16, who went on to compete in the oral spelling finals.
AARP The Magazine's National Spelling Bee, formerly the AARP National Senior Spelling Bee, was founded in 1996 by a group of Cheyenne AARP members who wanted to challenge the 50+ community to keep their minds sharp as they age. Over the years, it has grown into a highly competitive and challenging event attracting adult spellers from all over the country and Canada. It is open to anyone age 50 or older, except previous winners, and is supported by NRTA: AARP's Educator Community and the Staying Sharp program.
"This year's group of spellers were the most impressive I've seen," said AARP Wyoming Director Rita Inoway. "It's great to see so many people dedicated to keeping their minds sharp and taking on the challenge of participating in the bee."
The final 16 competitors in this year's competition finished in the following order:

The Nigerian American Flag
Muriel Stockdale has created her unique U.S. Flag series in recognition and celebration of the cultural diversity of the different races making up the United States of America.
Over half a million Nigerians reside in all the fifty states and the federal district of America and Muriel Stockdale's Nigerian American Flag shown above is in honor of the Nigerian Americans, whose remarkable and laudable achievements are symbolic models of the great American Dream.
The following is her statement on the inspiration of the Nigerian American Flag:
Here is a particularly multicultural flag; the fabric is made in Switzerland for the Nigerian market. It is made for wear as an elaborate and glorious head wrap that makes the Nigerian woman wearing it look like a goddess. This flag is set in a delicate light gold frame.

What is A Boyfriend?
What is a Boyfriend?
A man who is the lover of a girl or young woman.
~ wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn
A boyfriend is a male partner in a non-marital romantic relationship. ~en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boyfriend
A boyfriend is a boyfriend, but a boyfriend means something different to a poor girl from a rich girl.
To most poor girls and poor single women, a Boyfriend is the man she has chosen to date and sleep with for material benefits in cash or kind.
It is not easy for poor girls and poor single women to have a relationship with a man if he cannot provide or supply their needs. And if he cannot supply on demand, they move on to other targets.
The comfortable or rich girls and rich single women are the most trust worthy, because they are not going out with a guy for his money or material gains. They are going out with a guy, because they need him in their lives as a friend or lover.
It is pathetic if the only thing a girlfriend can offer a boyfriend in a relationship is sex.
If sex is the only thing you can give your boyfriend in return, then he might as well be dating a call girl.
A poor girl or single woman can have what I call value-added relationship with a boyfriend by offering him more than sexual gratification. So, do not make him feel like he is paying you for dating you.
Once in a while, save and buy him gifts and do not do this like a trade by barter, because many girlfriends only give gifts to their boyfriends to bargain for something costlier than what they have given to them.
Boyfriends appreciate gifts from their girlfriends, regardless of the price-tag.
A nice shirt, underwear or hair shampoo would be well received.
Boyfriends appreciate girlfriends who show mutual interest in their academic or professional goals. Therefore, girlfriends should be what God made Eve to be to Adam, a help mate and not a sex machine.
Discuss your academic or professional objectives and relate as partners in progress in the pursuit of your mutual success.
If a girlfriend has the bad habit of always demanding gifts and money from a boyfriend, she is sending wrong signals and such a negative impression can put him off.
A boyfriend should be first; Your Friend for the love of sharing and caring for someone.
Sex should not used as your bargaining chip to get something from your boyfriend.
Do not try to be smart by seeing or using a boyfriend as your constant source of regular income.
If you are a poor girl or poor single woman and your boyfriend gives you money, do not spend all the cash on shopping!
You can save some of the sums for the rainy day.
Do not blow it all in a week and rush to demand more money.
You can spend half of the sum on investments.
In Nigeria, you can buy shares or start a pay-phone call center with some cash.
If you are a student on or off campus, buy shares or start the pay-phone call center serviced by Starcomms. This will give you regular income and save you from the harassment and embarrassment of sexual abuse.
According to Starcomms Marketing Director Manoj Vashisht:
"All an operator needs is to simply buy a Starcomms Smart Center specially designed for tele-centers and get rewarded with up to 7,000 naira [US$60] in bonus on 60,000 naira of monthly airtime spent in the Starcomms Bonuzee loyalty program."
"The aim of making this package very affordable is to empower more Nigerians, especially youths and entrepreneurs in general."
You can employ a young school leaver to operate it at a busy bus stop or street corner. This is a booming business in Nigeria.
It is not easy for poor girls and poor single women in Nigeria to ignore the temptations of using their sex for material benefits by dating and sleeping with boyfriends who can afford to give them money and gifts. But if they use their brains more than their loins, they will be healthier, safer and wealthier than those who abuse and misuse their sexual organs for material possessions.
I knew many poor girls and poor single women who could not buy sanitary pads and one of them told me that she tore one of her white Clothes and used a piece as sanitary pad.
In Northern Nigeria, most of the poor girls and poor single women do not even bother to use sanitary pads. When they sleep with boyfriends for cash, they spend the money on new clothes and continue with their careless way of life in ignorance of how a small sum of money can empower them to become self-reliant.
Girlfriends and single women should have scruples, and respect the values and virtues of the dignity, integrity and nobility of womanhood.
This post will help the poor girls and single women in Nigeria and make them earn the respect of their boyfriends who would appreciate them more if they do not use sex to bargain for material supplies.
Cheers and God bless.

June 14th is Flag Day. How Will You be Celebrating?
NEW YORK, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- If you're anything like Muriel Stockdale, this Flag Day you'll be designing and crafting a customized US Flag with the stars and stripes built from symbols native to your ancestors' homeland.
Muriel Stockdale
Artist Muriel Stockdale has been creating flags that depict the integration of other cultures into the celebration of the American experience for the past four years. Her flag series, E PLURIBUS, currently includes nineteen flags, each incorporating fabrics, symbols and styles of other civilizations into the American flag template. Exquisitely hand-crafted, creatively brilliant in their depiction of the cultural trademarks of other countries, the E PLURIBUS flags function both as works of art and tributes to the homelands that have ultimately enriched and strengthened the very patriotism of America.
An immigrant herself, Muriel chose flag art as her method to both celebrate this key ingredient of diversity and to illustrate the unity of this great country. "E Pluribus Unum, 'Out of Many, One' -- the mandate of the Great American Seal, is particularly inspiring and perhaps more relevant today than ever before as our country continues to incorporate immigrants," says Stockdale.
The unique beauty of each flag is the result of exploration into the cultural gifts and sacred symbols of the different countries, and their meanings. Stockdale has chosen to depict the Tibetan culture by using traditional Buddhist prayer flags for the stripes, and on the Japanese version, folded origami cranes for stars. The Native American flag is done in beaded buckskin, while the Danish American flag is made in the tradition of great Danish bentwood giving the impression of a flag blowing in the wind. The Mayan American Flag features little cornhusk dolls that are called "worry people". If you're worried about something you tell the worry doll.
"My ultimate goal is to show that diversity of personal patriotic expression is a beautiful thing and enhances the lives of all of us," says Stockdale. "I want to invite others to send me their flags to include as part of the project. My aim is to inspire others to make their own flag, based on their cultural heritage."
