Profitable And Unprofitable Relationships
Profitable and Unprofitable Romance
As I was editing this article, I read that Michael Jackson has started battle between Facebook, MySpace, Bebo users, but what you should consider is the success story of Bebo, the social networking website that began from the romantic relationship of Michael Birch when he met the American brunette Xochi at a college bar in London and their loving relationship produced the idea for Bebo in January 2005 and was bought by AOL on March 13, 2008 for $850m (£417m)! This is an illustration of the whole point of this topic on profitable and unprofitable relationships.
We have profitable and unprofitable relationships in life.
Some are caused by unforseen circumstances and others are entirely our choices.
The most important priority is to beware of unprofitable relationships and to end any unprofitable relationship.
Whatever you spend your time or money on is an investment.
How you spend it can make you successful or unsuccessful in life.
Your relationship is an investment.
Whether it is important to you or not does not change the fact that it is an investment.
Whether you like it or not, it is an investment.
It is either a good investment or a bad investment of your time and resources.
You need to sit down for once and evaluate or re-evaluate your relationship with the opposite sex.
Is it worth the time and money you are spending on it?
What are the "pros" and "cons" of your love affairs?
Is she worth it?
Is he worth it?
What are you gaining from dating him or dating her?
Sex apart, what is the benefit?
A very well known Christian minister died in a plane crash in Nigeria whilst visiting his other "wife" that was not known to his legitimate wife. His infidelity cost him his precious life and made his innocent children fatherless and miserable.
How many men have been wasting their time and money on extra-marital affairs?
In fact, many childish and foolish husbands have wasted their monthly salaries on pampering their girlfriends or mistresses.
Most girlfriends going out with boyfriends for the financial benefits can claim that they are having profitable relationships.
But are the boyfriends having profitable relationships?
In Nigeria, unprofitable relationships are responsible for the poverty plaguing the majority of Nigerians and making Nigeria one of the poorest countries in the world in spite of the enormous human and mineral resources.
Millions of Nigerian men waste their quality time and financial resources on unprofitable relationships with girfriends who are not contributing anything at all to their succcess.
A well paid Nigerian man often spends more money monthly on his girlfriend than his wife and children.
An unfaithful Nigerian wife spends more quality time and money on her boyfriend than the time and money she spends at home.
A sugar mummy buys a brand new jeep for her younger lover while one of her children needs medical treatment overseas.
A Nigerian husband buys a brand new car for his girlfriend, but his wife has to take public transport buses, taxi cabs and motorbikes to take their children to school and go to the market to buy foodstuffs for the family. She is risking her life daily for the love of her family, but her husband is wasting his life sleeping with a girlfriend whose high-risk behaviour in the city makes her a possible HIV/AIDS carrier.
The list of such unprofitable relationships is endless.
The relationships are useless.
If they confess what they go through in the course of chasing and dating another woman or another man, you would be shocked.
In fact, many of them have died in horrible and terrible ways.
Let me not prolong this issue, because every wise man and wise woman perfectly understands what is profitable and what is not profitable. Therefore, the choice is yours. I am only addressing this issue, because many of us are ignorant of the great damages such unprofitable relationships have done to individuals, families, communities and even to the rest of the country.
Public officials are misappropriating public funds to pamper and "spoil" their unprofitable girlfriends or mistresses who do not pay tax! Who do not even contribute anything to Nigeria than the fact that they are expendable liabilities.
They have been found guilty of breaking up marriages and leaving children in dire straits in broken homes.
They have given birth to millions of illegitimate children Nigeria did not ask or plan for and creating chaos in dysfunctional familities, committing thousands of abortions of unwanted pregnancies as they are perpetrating and perpetuating rampant corruption and wide spread poverty and also spreading contagious diseases all over Nigeria.
The sooner we get rid of these cankerworms, the better and safer we would all be.
If we do not destroy these evils, these same evils will destroy us eventually.
That is why those engaged in these unprofitable relationships in Nigeria must stop now before it too late.
The men should sit them and sum up the time and money they have spent so far on girlfriends who are not adding any value to your life.
Have you heard of a value-added life?
Any romance that does not add to your life anything of benefit to your family, is unprofitable and not worth it.
End it now.
Mama needs more attention and welfare at home, and you are here spending your precious time and money on shagging your so called girlfriend we all know would not even touch you with a ten feet pole if you could not afford her price.
Hello bro, wake up!
Can she discuss the routines of your daily log in the office?
Can you really sit down and ask for her advice on that memo you received?
Can she do more for you than going shopping, partying and shagging?
Is she your housekeeper and commercial sex worker or a true helpmate/partner?
You have spent N100, 000, N500, 000 or N1, 000, 000 on chasing and dating girlfriends while you have not contributed anything tangible to your poor village where only N500, 000 can give them a borehole for regular water supply or pay the school fees of poor boys or girls in your church or community.
America was not built on unprofitable relationships!
Go and read the history on how America went through The Great Depression and became a super power.
They spent more time and money on profitable relationships.
We are aping the America of today, but we forget that most Americans have paid their dues to their nation, but most Nigerians have not paid their dues to Nigeria. They are busy destroying Nigeria by their unprofitable ways of life, doing us more harm than good.
Is your relationship doing you more harm than good?
Then it is an unprofitable relationship.
End it and you will have a better and safer life.
How many times have you sat down with your sweetheart to plan for the future?
How to manage your salary?
How to manage your shares and other financial interests?
How to manage your health insurance and life insurance?
How to move on to the next level on the ladder of progress and success?
Has she asked you about any of the above?
Besides the cliché of "How now?", "How was today?" or "I hope you are fine?"
Any dummy can ask similar questions.
Has she asked anything more than that on your progress report at work compared to how many demands she has made for her selfish gratification?
She eats into your budget until your budget is no longer worth it.
She gives you stress until you lose focus and may even have premature hypertension at 35!
Hello bro, wake up!
My sweethearts and aunties need to ask themselves similar questions.
Does he care about your welfare and the welfare of your family?
I know boyfiends who do not even know where their girlfriends live!
They simply pick her up and drop her off after having their so called "Good Time".
I was guilty of this many years ago.
Forget all the lovey-dovey mannerisms, because in most cases they are mere impressionism or a game of wits to see who would outsmart the other eventually.
The lovey-dovey ends the day he has had enough and once to move on to the next target or the day she has had her fill of you and she wants to hook a richer target at first sight.
How much a man cares about you depends not on the time or money he spends on you, but on how much interest he has in your health, education, career, family, security and future.
He must want the best for you and he must prove his love for you by doing his best for you.
If he is not committed to the above top priorities, he does no love you.
End the unprofitable relationship before you are trapped.
"Only the best is good enough for us."

Internet Clones
Photo Credit: I.ying.comI cancelled my account on MySpace, because many members were using it to stalk me. I have refused all the invitations to join Facebook, because I do not need it and most people on it are just copycats.
Most of the sites showing my pen name or real name got them by default.
Most of them use the same online trap asking you to sign up first before you can comment on what you have seen or read on their websites. Once you oblige, they add your username or real name to their membership list and use you to increase the popularity of their sites and for salesmanship or "saleswomanship".
I recently deleted all my contacts on an e-mail account and very soon I am going to delete all the other contacts and cancel more accounts, because I want to get rid of all the clones.
There are more Internet Clones than humans or as I prefer to call them Homo sapiens. These clones are like fringe elements out of Duke Nukem 3D.
I have left a couple of popular forums, because of these Internet Clones.
Honesty is a scarce commodity online and these Internet Clones are as bad as the notorious Nigerian Yahoo-Yahooo Internet scammers who use different aliases to con unsuspecting targets online. I see them as devils perpetrating evils online.
These creatures do not even have the fear of God, because they swear and lie shamelessly in their desperate schemes, scams and whims.
A member of a forum creates many clones under different aliases or IDs and is using them for posing and posturing as real persons. He or she is appearing as AJ Naija on a post and then reappears as Naija Ninja on another post posing and posturing as a different person. What a scam!
I cannot converse with such Internet Clones or Internet Zombies, because I have zero tolerance for liars, cheats and scammers. In fact, the rest of humankind would be better and safer without these scum of the earth.
I cannot tolerate people without scruples.
It is good to be yourself and be honest and transparent.
One alias or moniker should be enough when you are on an online forum or social network and not creating Internet Clones to scam other humans online.
Human dignity and integrity should guide your life online and offline.
Do some critical thinking, because ratiocination helps.
Have a nice day!

NEW YORK, April 18 /PRNewswire/ --
Latin Teen sensation TYNA Q is releasing her debut double single "Without You" and "Sin Ti" (English and Spanish versions) simultaneously on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, worldwide through digital distribution. "Without You"/ "Sin Ti" are the original works of TYNA Q, a 14-year old home-schooled Alpharetta, Georgia-raised teenager who has performed to rave reviews in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City. In support of the double single release, TYNA Q will spend most of May and June appearing on television shows and visiting radio stations across the country. TYNA Q will also be performing live in several high profile events in New York and Los Angeles, some of which include the 116th Street Festival in June, which draws over half a million people each year to celebrate and kick off the Puerto Rican Day Parade activities. Other events include Fiesta Broadway in Los Angeles and Carnaval Del Barrio in New York City.
Music executives have already compared TYNA Q to platinum selling artists Miley Cyrus and a younger Christina Aguilera. "I have been approached by a couple of major labels who want to sign Tyna; however, I am being very careful in choosing the right label for us. We will continue to take meetings until the right label offers a fair deal," says Yolanda Chavez, TYNA Q's manager. Until recently Tyna Q was based in Alpharetta, Georgia, but has since moved to Los Angeles, California, where she has secured a talent agent and is currently auditioning for several television and film casting directors. "Singing is her first love. However, Tyna also likes to act, so she is happy to be auditioning for film and TV. She is a very gifted teenager who is already living her dream," says her manager.
"Without You"/ "Sin Ti" will be dedicated to Tyna Q's grandmother, who passed away a couple of months ago. More information on Tyna Q and the exact digital distribution outlets for her double-single debut can be found on her website Tyna Q and her myspace MySpace.

Alicia in Africa
African Journey of a Lifetime With Alicia Keys! - Documentary Follows Keep a Child Alive's Outreach to Communities Affected With HIV/AIDS
A Portion of the Documentary to Debut During 'IDOL GIVES BACK' Wednesday, April 9, on FOX
NEW YORK, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ --
Alicia in Africa: Journey to the Motherland is the breathtaking documentary of Grammy Award-winning musician and Keep a Child Alive (KCA) Co-Founder Alicia Keys' month-long trip to Africa to visit communities affected by HIV and AIDS. Alicia's commitment to the fight against AIDS is contagious and she is leading the effort to spread the message of KCA virally: "Start a Virus to Stop a Virus."
"Everyone who visits Africa is changed by the experience, but not everyone can afford to go to Africa," Alicia explained. "Come with me on my journey and learn as I learn. Let's start a virus to stop a virus- send the film to everyone you know. Let's change this nightmare into our generation's greatest success story."
Spreading the message is so important to Alicia that she is making the documentary available for FREE online. A portion of the film will debut live on American Idol: Idol Gives Back on Wednesday, April 9 (7:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Viewers who visit www.americanidol.com will be directed to www.AliciainAfrica.com where they can watch the entire documentary. Alicia in Africa will also be available to download courtesy of the documentary's exclusive download partner www.SpiralFrog.com. The film will also be available on MySpace.
By distributing the film for free online, KCA knows the broadest audience possible will be reached, translating into understanding and compassion for the people and then ultimately resulting in donations crucial to fulfilling KCA's mission.
Alicia's commitment carries over into her concerts. She'll screen the Alicia in Africa trailer before each concert on her American tour, which kicks off April 19 in Virginia. Go to Aliciakeys.com for tour dates. Alicia will also announce the "Text Alive" initiative, which allows anyone to make an immediate $5 donation to KCA simply by text messaging "Alive" to 90999.
Alicia in Africa, directed by South African filmmaker Earle Sebastian, shows us an Africa rarely seen. Travelling through Africa's beautiful landscapes we meet inspiring children, families and communities in South Africa, Kenya and Uganda. The documentary is a breathtaking journey of a generation that refuses to give up. In under an hour, Alicia introduces viewers to so many eye-opening topics surrounding the AIDS pandemic-from the Gogo grannies and the Agape Orphanage to the success of antiretroviral drugs, the ongoing need to access them and KCA's essential efforts throughout Africa.
"Each time I visit Africa, I'm reminded of what's most important in this life and uplifted by my African sisters' and brothers' courageous spirit," said Alicia. "Hopefully, my documentary will inspire others to help us in our mission to give the people of Mother Africa their dreams back, let their children be happy and healthy and preserve the family structure that is so important to them."
The focus, hope and determination of the children Alicia visits are the real power of the film. KCA hopes that watching the film will help non-African audiences better understand AIDS, see the human face of the disease and realize that Africans don't need charity-just equality, just the chance to live. When Alicia joins voices with her friends in Africa, they show that despite dire conditions and devastating illness, their songs still reveal strength and commitment to life.
"We hope this film will open your eyes and introduce you to the inspirational people that Africans are," said KCA Co-Founder and President Leigh Blake. "Although millions are suffering through the worst health crisis in human history, causing spiritual and emotional devastation because of AIDS, still they remain a testament to human dignity."
The Alicia in Africa site was created by NYC interactive shop Night Agency, a long time ally of KCA. It was partly because of the agency's expertise in designing and marketing user-friendly video-driven websites that KCA chose to distribute the film via the Internet.

Eliot Spitzer and "Kristen": Sex, Love and Hypocrisy in America
"Kristen"The American mainstream news media and blogosphere have gone haywire over the Spitzer Is Linked to Prostitution Ring - New York Times story and I have already commented and posted other views on, Let The American Man Who Has Never Paid for Sex In Cash or in Kind, Let Him First Cast A Stone At Eliot Spitzer, Could the Patriot Act Have Brought Down Eliot Spitzer? and Governor, Eliot Spitzer: Liberal Hypocrisy Exposed... This whole scandal is another exposure of the reign of hypocrisy in the American society.Imagine even the LGBT Community calling for the head of Gov. Eliot Spitzer. The worse sinners are always the loudest noise makers in the public trial of others.
Governor Eliot SpitzerThe so called "Kristen was interviewed by the New York Times and she gave her real name as Ashley Alexandra Dupre, age 22, and she is even a singer from a broken home in New Jersey before moving to New York City and got employed by the Emperors Club VIP.
Kristen spent the eve of ST. Valentine's Day with Mr. Eliot Spitzer at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington. She is on MySpace page and has left the following details about her.
I live in New York and am on top of the world. Been here since 2004 and I love
this city, I love my life here. But, my path has not been easy. When I was 17, I
left home. It was my decision and I've never looked back. Left my hometown. Left
a broken family. Left abuse. Left an older brother who had already split. Left
and learned what it was like to have everything, and lose it, again and again.
Learned what it was like to wake up one day and have the people you care about
most gone. I have been alone. I have abused drugs. I have been broke and
homeless. But, I survived, on my own. I am here, in NY because of my music...
Don't let anyone hold you back or tell you that you can't...because you can.

Are Social Networking Sites Endangering Young Teens? Study Finds Maybe Not
Are Social Networking Sites Endangering Young Teens? Study Finds Maybe Not
SANTA ANA, Calif., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --
Youth may be more likely victimized while using instant messenger and visiting chat rooms than while using social networking sites, new research this week reports.
The study, conducted by child health researchers Michele Ybarra of Internet Solutions for Kids and Kimberly Mitchell of the University of New Hampshire, set out to look at the places online where youth are most likely to experience sexual solicitation and harassment. The researchers, whose study is published in Pediatrics, found that among the almost 1600 children and adolescents 10-15 years-old surveyed nationally, 4% reported experiencing an unwanted sexual solicitation and 9% reported being harassed while on a social networking site. Solicitations were reported 59% more often in instant messaging however, and 19% more often in chat rooms than social networking sites. More surprising, harassments were reported 96% more often in instant messaging than in social networking sites. "Are victimizations happening in social networking sites? Yes," Ybarra explains, "but they're happening with greater frequency in instant messaging and chat rooms."
The authors say the results serve as a warning for parents not to focus exclusively on social networking sites. "Internet safety is not just about whether your child is on MySpace or not. You should know what your children are doing on MySpace and Facebook. But you also need to know what your children are doing in school, after school, at parties, at the mall, online - basically all environments in which they engage. You can't just focus on one place and assume that your job is done."
An estimated 15% of children and adolescents are targeted by unwanted sexual solicitation each year, including being asked to talk about sex, provide personal sexual information, or engage in sexual behavior online when they do not want to. Depending on the type of harassment and the age of the children surveyed, 9-30% of youth are harassed yearly. Current events have raised public awareness and concern about the risks young people face when they are in social networking sites. Most recent was the case of Megan Meier, a teenager who committed suicide after her online 'boyfriend', an adult pretending to be her age, broke up with her. In an effort to protect the safety of children and adolescents, various laws have been proposed such as requiring social networking sites to introduce software capable of age verification.
The latest study is good news for parents, Ybarra says. The majority of young people using the Internet are never harassed and never experience unwanted sexual solicitation. This includes social networking sites. Adults also need to understand that for many youth, Ybarra advises, their online world is an extension of their offline world. "Young people experiencing problems online are often experiencing problems offline as well. We need to make sure that we are giving them the support and tools to healthfully navigate across all environments, both online and offline."

Make A Better YOU in 2008 Natasha Talks Tips For Success
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ --
People everywhere are making resolutions, says Natasha Darras, 17, a rising star on the high school golf circuit in southern California.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20071220/AQTHFNS1)
For anyone, whose age ends in teen, Natasha offers these tips for 2008:
If you have a love life, evaluate it. Measure how happy you are and if your special person is good enough for you. Someone who is respectful, fun and thoughtful can make a big difference in your life. And if you add a dose of cute, well that counts a lot too.
Love life or not, Natasha recommends these great, safe places to meet people:
-- Concerts: Teens love them and you can meet people with similar
interests and tastes in music.
-- Paint ball fields and golf courses -- this is where the guys hang out.
-- Search Facebook or MySpace for cute
profile pictures of friends or people you just met.
Save a life. Sounds dramatic, yet bringing home an animal from your local shelter can help families bond and add a new dimension to your life.
Have a weekly dinner with your high school friends, same day, same time each week. Wednesdays are good because it makes the school week go quicker and weekends don't seem so far away.
Love your body. Instead of dieting, try simple things to feel better about yourself.
"When you are 40, you will see pictures of yourself now and be saying -- Gosh! I was hot! I cannot believe I was self-critical, when I was so beautiful," says Natasha.
Try these things to feel good about yourself:
-- Take a walk to a friends' house or just walk around your block.
-- Stop drinking soda. Have frozen yogurt instead of ice cream and go
without toppings.
-- Once a day have a piece of fruit.
-- Once a week, eat anything you want, all day long. If you are good all
week, your body won't reflect one bad day of eating junk.
"Dream a little," she says. "You never know where you can see your favorite star and sometimes, just keeping an eye out really helps. I am always looking for Chace Crawford, Chuck Wicks or any of the Jonas Brothers!! Often you see people in the most unexpected places."

5 Women She Hates
Manage all the women in your life.
~ By the Editors of Men's Health
Jealousy on the part of your significant other can sabotage your best female friendships. Here's how to smooth over your relationship.
The Leggy Coworker
Why she's worried: Your sexy office gal pal has unfettered access to half of your weekday, and your girl fears this face time can spark a cubicle romance.
Ease her fears: Play show and tell. Give your girl a guided tour of the office, introduce her to your coworkers — including Legs — and end at your desk, where she'll find a prominently displayed picture of herself. It's a talisman that wards off flirty office workers, says Dorian Solot, author of I Love Female Orgasm. "It shows her she's on your mind while you're on the clock."
2. The College Cohort
Why she's worried: You spent 4 boozy, sexually charged years with this girl, who knows the secret handshake and dated half of your fraternity. What's more, unlike your girl, she has a standing invitation to game day and poker night.
Ease her fears: Paint the friend as a mascot, not a romantic interest, says Susan F. Benjamin, author of Perfect Phrases for Dealing with Difficult People. And invite your gal to a few college game parties, so she'll see that the cutie sits squarely in your "like-a-sister" category.
3. The Matriarch
Why she's worried: Your woman feels resentful about her own need to impress your mom.
Ease her fears: Ship your ladies off to a wine tasting together (find one in your city at localwineevents.com). Each wants to win the other's approval, which can lead to insecurities and false perceptions, says Gini Graham Scott, Ph.D., author of Disagreements, Disputes and All-out War. A retreat with some vino will melt away any hangups.
4. The Facebook Fox
Why she's worried: You've dutifully declared you're "in a relationship" on your MySpace or Facebook profile. But she worries it means nothing to the harem of cybervixens on your friends list.
Ease her fears: Let her plant a flag in your digital world. If they're not online, too, girlfriends and wives place these sites just a notch above porn. Help her create her own page and bump her up to the top of your friends list.
5. The Gym Goddess
Why she's worried: Your trainer is single and oozes sexuality from every pore. You may say her post-workout chats are harmless, but your girlfriend knows better (and so do you, playa).
Ease her fears: Play matchmaker and set her up with a friend, says Solot. Face it: You're taken, and she's a temptress. Best to try this under-utilized brushoff, which will allow you two to still chat at the gym. The move takes her off your gal's worry list.
