Borrow A Leaf From Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf

"Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is a magnificent leader and an amazing woman."
~ Laura Bush, the First Lady of the United States of America

To all the women in Africa
Borrow a leaf from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf
The Mother of modern Liberia.
Follow her golden footprints in the golden sand of time
From the heart of Morovia to the soul of Wisconsin in Madison
From the soul of Wisconsin to the bowels of the Colorado
And from bowels of the Colarado to the pantheon of Harvard.
Where she waited at tables to pay her dues and her fees.
She was found worthy of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
And finally she won the crown to be the Queen of state

As the first woman in Africa to become the President
And Head of state of a nation.
She is the "Iron Lady" who has won her Medal of Freedom.
