  1. I felt compell to make a few comments with regards to the sentiment which you displayed at the end of the photos (No vex, No sex)
As simple as this may appear to the average reader, I somehow find it to be very infectious and have left me murmuring countless thoughts.
It is no secret that the HIV/AIDS epedemic has crippled civilisation and with no impending cure in sight, would continue to drastically affect us in years to come.
A few years ago, fresh in Secondary School in my native island, I was asked to sit on a panel where the topic discussed had to do with the young age at which children were now becoming sexually active. I knew I was in for a battle but being me, I was prepared.
A virgin at that time and was well versed on the biblical point of view regarding premarital sex, I knew I had to be careful of my vocabulary so as not to offend the many "righeous" personels in the audiance.
One of the qualities I admired in my late father was the fact that he held an objective view on any given situation. Glad to say I inherited that trait from him and decided not to divert even in the midst of adversaties.
To make a long story short( as we say in the islands),I was almost crucified for suggesting that instead of continually fighting a losing battle against STD's, why not encourage those teenagers who have already crossed over into the world of sex to protect themselves with the use of contraceptives. Many viewed my proposal as lewd and sinful and accused me of being sexually active myself.
I sustained all the derrogatory remarks and persevered with the help of God and my ever supportive family.
Now the question is still being poised today. Would you rather sit back and pretend as if teachings and lectures would curtail the growing problem of sex and STD's among our youths; or prescribe some workable solutions to help curb this growing problem?

  2. Neelsel,
It is a poster to mark the World AIDS Day and the message is meant to make people think about the consequences of wanton sex.

    I am equally open minded.

    Cheers and God bless.

  6. Mankind has been on this planted for hundreds of thousands of years. Strange that Aids is a relatively new phenomena. Makes me think there is some kind of a laboratory thing behind it. Would like to see you do a post about the history of Aids, and where you think it developed.
